Welcome to the Sustainable Tompkins Podcast!  My name is Alex Colket and I will be your tour guide as we travel around the world of environmental sustainability, social justice and local economy. Today’s interview is with David Brancaccio, whose documentary on living economies, Fixing the Future, was recently shown here in Ithaca as part of the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival (FLEFF).  David spent about 10 years hosting the NPR program Marketplace, before moving over to PBS to work on the newsmagazine program NOW.  In 2009, he was awarded the David Brower Award for Excellence in Environmental Journalism and the Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Television Political Journalism.  So sit back and enjoy as I talk to David about his film, economics, and personal sacrifice.
