Herbal Hoedown

The “Herbal Hoedown” was held in early November. At this open space event, community members learned about local herbs and their many uses. Space was available to display information and event notices, to share contact information, local lore and success stories. Presentations on a range of topics, from how to make herbal salves to a plant walk.

Cortland Energy

A new not-for-profit organization, Cortland Energy, began a community education program to teach Cortland County residents about renewable energy technologies and energy efficiency techniques that can save money on energy costs. The program will help Cortland County reach its overall goal of becoming carbon neutral.
