We’ll hear from Neighborhood Mini-Grant awardees who are implementing these grants to build a more sustainable community here in Tompkins County.
Since 2008, Sustainable Tompkins has supported 53 community sustainability projects with over $22,000 in grant funds. The grants are designed as “seed money” to jump start sustainability initiatives that build greater capacity for self-reliance, leadership, and engagement. But the real achievement isn’t in the numbers. It’s in the stories about the Mini-Grants that are literally bringing life to gardens, markets, classrooms and a diversity of inspired projects across our community. Join us to hear these stories!
As the sustainability movement grows, the need for the Mini-Grants program grows. The success of this program comes thanks to YOU, our community. So please join us on March 29th to to learn more about the critical role the mini-grants are playing in our journey toward sustainability. Help us celebrate this program and ensure it’s continued success.
