For five years, Sustainable Tompkins has been the hub of green resources in the area, maintaining online buying guides and business directories, launching the Signs of Sustainability awards and hosting food preservation workshops and the recent Bioneers conference.

Now it will have a physical presence, in the form of an environmentally sound new home at 109 S. Albany St.

In keeping with the philosophy of the organization, the office features high-efficiency heating and lighting, Green Label carpets, a tankless water heater, and a zoned cooling system with alternative refrigerant.
